Growing up in California the gang life was almost something you couldn't get away from, especially if you lived in neighborhoods that were controlled by gangs. Seeing friends, acquaintances and family dying on the streets for a neighborhood, color or click was a normal day to day thing. It seemed that when another homie was taken the urge to cling to the set was even stronger. 20 years later, we look at it now, glad and most blessed that we survived those years of living recklessly.
